2002 land rover discovery with 125k miles. Cranks, but doesn't start. Fuel rail has 30psi. Compression is at 150 on all cylinders. Checked crank sensor and plug with multimeter; the plug seems to not get anything. I used a spark tester and there is no spark to the plugs. Switched out engine fuse box and nothing has changed. Switched out coil packs with working ones, no change. Switched out ecu and bcu with working ones, no change. Used eka 1515, no change.

I'm very familiar with these discovery's. I've gone through the checklist, and I am lost. Any other ideas? Thanks for any help.

Ryan.

I assume the spacers are not on the wrong side of the crank sensor. Have you checked for voltage drop at the power wire to the coil packs?

30 psi sounds low, it should be nearer 50 psi, but the pump only runs for a very short period until the ECU senses that the engine is running, so may be OK. 3.5bar or just over 50psi is the rated pressure.

The crankshaft sensor outputs a low voltage AC signal which the ECU uses for engine management and RPM drive for the rev counter. You can check the coil resistance but that's about all.

There is the main relay in the engine compartment box, R100, and F1 in the same box is the feed to the injectors.

When the IDM is bad you can usually tell by checking voltage drop at the coil pack. You will have 12V there, but during cranking there will be excessive voltage drop in my experience.

It was the interior fuse box. I got one off a parts truck. It now runs, but the stereo no longer comes on and some other things don't work. Also, the climate control comes on, but doesnt blow anthing out, hot or cold. Thanks for the help!
