I'm still trying to fit a 2004 Freelander INTO my 1996 Disco. I think that would be really cool. Has anyone done that? Do you have pics?

utahdog> I'm not here to make friends, and have chummy little online chats with my new online buddies, therefore why do I need to disclose my personal information?. I come for info, plain and simple. There are alot of people in the know on these forums, and you can derive a wealth of info from them. I'm not "craving" any type of lashing, there are just obviously a few people on this board that have a close-minded view of things, that every Disco should be cookie-cutter replicas, and if you deviate, your a poser? Fuck it.. I admitted before that it doesnt see much off road, so what? outfit it with everything that Safarigard makes, a Hannibal roof rack and 50 gazillion watts of lights to pick my kid up from school? That doesnt make much sense to me either. You're Disco is on the beach for gods-sake! I like my Discovery.. but in a different way than most the people on this board apparently. That does'nt bother me, nor should it bother you. I've always been into custom vehicles, and so no amount of money is a waste if you're doing something you enjoy. I did the conversion, and I like the look.. thats it. Maybe your money is better spent elsewhere, maybe you're not a car-guy, I could care less...
Koby> I've been wondering about the roof rails as well.. let me know!

I think ryan is doing a pretty good job defending himself.

He got a bargain on a disco, tossed a few bucks to have the cool head lights and makes no claim to be anything other than what it is.

Hard to argue that. Posuer, maybe, but I think there is a certain amount of contempt in the posuer and I'm not feeling any contempt here.

I am of the disco's are for offroading crowd, but what can I say, I like the 03 headlights so much I think it's probably worth a grand. Nothing to be ashamed about if you can't afford a 2003-2004 Disco.

Nicely done Ryan,

tktcolr-

Since you only pick up your son from school and go grocery shopping, you have stated your case why you should go Safarigard, because most Discos decked out in Safarigard gear never see the trail.

Koby> Great thanks> Its refreshing to see that your Discovery is not a "Type R", although I am surprised. :) When you get the roof rails mounted, are you going to attach a wing? Just kiddin, nice pics on your site though. I feel like I know you already.

Ryan,

I think your install looks good. I'm impressed with how it turned out, and I'm not being sarcastic. Personally, I like big tires, spring lifts, bumpers, etc, but to each his/her own. I don't know why they're ragging on you in an insulting way. If it were me I wouldn't even humor them with any more posts on this issue.

Because I'm bored and enjoy the ambiguity of the internet. Sorry I upset people. I won't do it again and will confine my answers to a helpful format. That is if I don't forget 'cause I'm so old.
Have a nice day.

So are we turning this into a flame war now? Because I simply came on here to provide information to those that had previously inquired about the conversion...

Gumarcel> Pull your head out of your ass, and realize that your beloved Land Rover (If you even own one, your Mama probably gave it to you) is owned and heavily influenced from the boys at FORD> Oh, and that "POS" you're talking about, is worth more than your life, once you get through puberty you can start hurling insults at the big dogs. Until then, take your 19 year old snot-nose ass back to your mothers tittie, or is your "dry mouth" from all your medication turning her nipple into sandpaper? Please... talk about Bullshit on the web, a quick search of your posts reveals that you were a ring leader in a circle jerk about psych meds on a Land Rover Forum? Oh, and you dont even know how to use a jack? Gimme a break..

I am not going to waste my time on you, it is pretty clear the kind of person you are. Thus you lead to attacks on my life and my mother. Ahh yes, very nice.

this aint pimpsandhoes.com! Of course you're going to get crap for that lame idea! Too bad the boys from EE aren't on here, they almost put out a contract on some poor sap who had a black cage on his white 110! (I'd run the archive link, but I don't think that's back yet. Too bad, that was funny!)

You checked out people's previous posts, and their CPs to determine ages and other targets for your insult. Then you invite the comeback, but provide no fuel. Pretty small on your part.

I remember one of your emails including a reference to 'dad's truck', which indicated to me you were probably 12, and explained your "Transformers" based idea for swapping out your lights. I figured I'd ignore you, until you started in with the tittie sucking jokes. That's just sad, man. Sad. You're in mixed company here, Pal. Show some respect.

Hey you guys, lay off. He respects me 'cause of my age and I let him down! Then again, I am a twisted Virginia fuck. Deliverance took place in Georgia by the way. ou think we're twisted here!
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go put the 18's on so I can take the off road beast and tear up some sand in the Virginia forest. If I'm lucky I may find some kayaking tourist to sodomize!
Sure do got a purty mouth!
