I've had the same sort of questions on this so I'm gonna post the answers here.
I don't have a lot of history on this. It's sat for over a year. The last guy who owned it lost his leg and his prosthetic didn't fit under the dash. I got it from him in non running condition. I put a new battery and serpentine belt on it. And changed the oil to Rotella. It fired right up. At first it kicked off the knock sensor code when it ran. I put some premium gas in and some octane booster. It has since not kicked out that code again.
According to my ultra gauge it idles at about 201-206. Down the road it runs about 198. It doesn't seem to have a grey thermostat. Hoses are in decent shape. No major leaks. It does have typical Rover seepage from front seal.
Has typical Rover tick occasionally. It doesn't sound like a slipped liner. Sounds like lifter tick. Occasionally. Could also be an exhaust leak but I doubt it.
Heated seats work.
Radio/CD changer work
Dash has a bit of warp that's common here with the hot summers.
Rear bumper is in excellent shape. No cracks
Front bumper also no cracks. However. Looks like previous owner trimmed up the driver side underneath for some reason.
Paint has some chip/scratches. Nothing major.
Looks like the mud flap on one side was torn off. No major damage.
One of the flares on the rear is cracked.
Headlight lenses are in good shape. Not perfect. But really good shape.
Headliner is not falling down. But it is original. Couple spots it looks bubbly.
Brakes look good from just looking. No Amigos. Yes they come on at ignition on like they should.
Tailight lenses are a little cracked at the tops.
Carpet is in great shape.
Tires have lots of tread left.
All lights and signals seems to work. Does not have any electrical drains.
