Carlos ..I know.. the owner of that TOY is either smoking some good shit from south of the border or it has way too much bloody money *LOL*
now He is hell bent on installing a heavy duty peterbilt size rear self levelling air ride system to help the springs cope with a 15,000 trailer, and I quote " even if it has to be a one of a kind, money is no object, draw ideas and email them to me..."

Actually you are confused . his truck has 40,000 miles LESS than yours and his warranty is equal or longer than yours ( and IIRC it is B2B )..not that warrants $ 45,000.00 IMO

I'll be a bit more polite than these goons ;) , but just to give you some perspective from those of us with some cash looking for nice 2004s:

I paid $13,700 for a 2004 with a brand new 4.6 (400 miles) with a year-long LRNA warranty. The body has 73k mi and is in essentially mint condition for a 6 year old.

I think what's so shocking to everyone -- and to me -- is that you're suggesting it would take another $30,000 for me to get my '04 to where yours currently sits. And my 4.6 has 36,000 less miles.

And I probably paid at the absolute top end for what these command.

Just some feedback for you to mull over. $45k will get someone into a pretty serious D110.

Good luck with the sale. There's no doubt that's a gorgeous '04.

I used to want an '04. After the engines started shitting the bed I decided that if I need to replace my D2 it'll be with a '99 D1.

trust me, "disconomad" isn't hurting for money. he will wait it out and get close to his asking price. albeit, it is far too much for the truck.

By then this thread will be another 500-reply epic complete with detours, hijacks, polls, and revivals, resulting in another name being added to the Discoweb Annals of Ignominy and Ridicule.

Thats an Awesome truck, very cool to see! I wish you the best in selling it. With people buying redone 25 yr defenders for 25k-80k i really dont think you will have problems selling it.

No chance in hell that I can afford it, but if I could I'd be tempted!

Nice Truck

and even with 36k miles he is having the same issues the rest of us in 04's have with 3 times the mileage.

...leaky transfercase

it has bosch+4 plugs, should have saved some dough on those...
