Any insight or problems with this car? I looked at a few yesterday and they seem to be decent vehicles. I am not sure I like the "leatherette" interior and the color options suck.

How good is the 6 speed manual auto? Is it worth $1000.00 more than the 6 speed manual?

Autoblog is doing a long term writeup. They have gotten good gas mileage, but the interior is cheap and they don't like the manual.

VW TDi engines power many vehicles that they build. Living in Swissland we get to see just how many vehicles use the TDi engine. The leatherette is a really good option to cloth and assuming you have the heated seat option, fine in the Winter. For us, using just soap and water to clean them after the Labs was also nice. The auto box has some quirks to get used to as it really is a clutchless manual. The 40k maintenance on them is steep, yet, it's a great box and worth getting. As far as colors, welcome to Euro land as most cars are very subtle on the chart. VWs are great driving cars.

I think I will pass on this car. I only looked at it because of the TDI and mileage. Problem is once you select the TDI on the "build your car" tab all of the options disapear. I mean they offer 2 that's right 2 interior color choices. I wanted the lighter interior but the dash and door cards are still black. I also wanted cloth seats. Can't get those either.

When is someone gonna put that gas miser deisel in a car without all of the bling.
