Oh yeah, I forgot, credit for the fine photograph of the steering stop goes to Shane. Great camera work man, with talent like that... ;)

I'm running a set of BFG MT 235/85 on my 97 D1 and I'm fairly pleased with their ride quality. I was dithering between a set of 265's but made a call to John at EE and asked for his recommendation (being that I had just purchased an OME 3" set up from him). John recommended the 235/85.... a bit on the narrow side and I do tend to get a "floating" sensation at higher speeds. If I had to do it over agian I would seriously consider the 265s. I'm running the 265s on my 87 RR and they have a firmer (seat of the pants) characteristic.

Just my .02 cents worth.

Loosen the nut on the left. Put in washers (lock washers preferably) as spacers and tighten it back down. Put in as many washers as necessary to keep the tires clear of the radius arm.

Fergy-did it rain out in Hollister today? We got some rain on the coast by Prunedale and I am itching for a little mud at hollister.

Rob,
Actually it was more of a mist, nothing appreciable. I spend my weekends up at Hollister Hills, not in the 4 wheel drive area but in the moto-cross section. My son and I have been making the weekend pilgrimage for the past 7 yrs. Pretty cool living 15 minutes away. Areas has been really dry and not worth biking in. Can't wait for the rain to come.

I have never lived in a place as dry as this. I almost miss the rain, but the upside is that it is BBQ weather everyday of the year almost. :p

I can remember a few years ago around Christmas time took a trip to Clear Creek with the bikes. What a difference a few years make. Within a 6 hr period it went from sun to rain to hail to snow. Thank god I had the Rover to get me out of the back woods. Felt sorry for the saps without 4 wheel drive, I'm sure they were stuck there for at least a week.
I'll have to do the rain dance soon :)
