Just wanted to see what kind of trimming and lift you guys with 35s are running. Pictures would be great. Thanks for your help.

Alex only has a 2" lift, but no body panels. AFIRover's Truggy has 35s, 5" lift and severely trimmed body panels and rock sliders.

Do not even consider 35" tires unless you are prepared to invest in heavy duty axle shafts and something other than a Rover differential. AFIRover has destroyed at least five. He has gotten very good at replacing differentials in the field under less than ideal conditions.

I have RoverTracks axles and ARB in the rear diff. Do you think they are strong enough or do you mean dana 60's ? I have blown several front diff with just my 33" tires without hurting the axles.

alex ran a 2" suspension lift and a 2" body lift with huge amounts of trimming.

you will need a better/stronger front diff or it will keep breaking as well as the front cv's and shafts.

there is another thread here on going 5" lift and what it will take.

time to search and read:D

I'm running 35's w/a 4" lift(more like a 3" because of sagging) with lots of trimming and paddock spares flares. spooled in the rear with the RT toy conversion, TT in the front with GBR(MDE) 24 spline half shaft and cv's; and a bunch of other crap.

here's a somewhat recent picture.

I've ran 35' boggers all summer on mine and wheeled it pretty hard with no problems. i did do some cuttin and put GBR shafts and a detroit in the rear and a TT up front. its a little slow on the road fron all stock gearing but its a rover....who cares. hell I ran 35's with a rotoflex for about 2 months..

Sorry my post was unclear about the axles.
I have RT CV's/front axles and rear axles w/ an ARB and 5" of lift already. I definately agree w/ needing a front locker for strength and traction. Do you think an ARB in the front and trimming would be sufficient?

Where can I get a set of those flares?

I'm running 35-14.50 BFG Krawlers on TR beadlocks w/crazy offset... RTE 5", RTE 2"... Detroit rear, TT in front with stock gearing (for the time being, dammit), Rovertracks shafts F&R and Tom Wood's d/s.

Like Musky said, there's a couple recent threads right now to search. I've been talking with "kalix" (s/n on here) about his set-up on 35's re: trimming and flares. I'm using DII flares with extended bumpstops because I didn't want to pony up the $ for flares to cut up the rear doors. His are like "post's" (i'm guessing) where you get into cutting the rear door. The front is not really an issue.

I'm certainly not as hardcore as a lot of these guy's running 35's... But you can't be afraid to take the saw to the body if you want the big tires. Let alone, be prepared to break some stuff... It'll happen eventually:)

Unfortunately, I don't have any pics as it sits right now, sorry...

~Good Luck...

35x10.50 15, GCR 7" wheels, 4" lift, no bump stops, very little trimming.
