So I'm getting ready to start taking my daughter's 4.6 apart so I can send the block off.

Any good manuals out there regarding what the tolerances should be, assembly guides, ect? This is my first engine and I'd like to get it right on the first try.

Also, I highly recommend "How to Power Tune Rover V8 Engines for Road and Track". It goes into tremendous detail about these engines and all of the things to focus on during the machining and rebuild. I've only seen it as an eBook on Amazon, but it clearly illustrates why the properly rebuilt blocks cost so much.

You can also see if a machine shop will give you the AERA specs. Some will print them out for you. That is what the machinists use.

Don't buy from Cannibal. The problems with their rebuilds are well documented.

I worked very closely with Steven and I'm very happy with my build. I did my research and talked with him in-depth about the issues. That said, I'd never recommend dumping hard-earned cash into anyone without establishing a relationship first. Do your research and make your own decision.
