I made a new mount for my panhard rod and it did help alot! you will have to do most everything that you read in these lists you see above!! the only two things that I did not do where the swivel balls thats still on the to do list but its not to bad at all to drive and the spring perches

are you running a d2 front shaft or something custom? I've got one and the flange sitting in my storage unit. Haven't measured it, but I'm concerned about a safe spline engagement length at full drop after lengthened radius arms are installed

a frame really isn't an issue unless you want to run a double cardon rear driveshaft. i have 5" springs on the rear and a standard ujointed shaft isn't an issue at all. if you leave the standard shaft on you don't have to do anything with the rear sping perches.

without the a arm extension, it's a little close to the exhaust but i've been running it this way for a long time and haven't had a problem.
Steve, Do you have RTE trailing arms? If so, where did you put the spacers, fore or aft of the mount?

Steve is running the rovertym trailing arms and he has enough spacers behind the bushing at the frame to lower the pinion back to the stock position.

I run a 5 inch on my 99 and realy think i run it as hard and often as anyone. feels a bit tippy and not so great at high speeds but off road
the articulation and travel is second to none. I pulled the SG 3 link off
my d90 just to get it more like my rte 5inch on the disco.
one thing i did that realy makes the 5 inch come together is adding at
currie antirock to the front looks stock and works great.
i cant get pic to post but if you have a 5 inch lift you realy need this
with 35s i can drive 75 with no problems.
if you want pic email me ricknorton717@aol.com

I'm really curious as to what types of terrain you 5" spring folk are wheeling when you say its stable off road.

Mine only has 3" right now, something that resembles OME HD springs that I'm at least the 3rd owner of stacked on top of spacers. replacing that ghetto setup is somewhat of a priority, but I'm worried that 5" and a top heavy disco is going to flop on every trail I put it on.

Had some kick ass 2 wheel action out at BVORR on Saturday on a steep descent ending in a u-turn. The crowd loved it, co-pilot rode with someone else the rest of the day.

I hunt and explor utah, wyomin, colorado a lot of tec rock sections and
off camber stuff discos are realy pretty stable its the tall roofline and
roof racks we all run that make them look so bad.

You should either run spacers or off set wheels to get some added width with a 5" lift for sure but dont worry about them off camber they are very stable. I run mine about half the time with a roof rack and a RTT and I still wheel stuff more off camber with it then most guys feel confortable with.

If you are referring to Bmn1965 he is running a Tom Woods.
