can't beat the price, but i'm suspecting there might be a lot of frame rust/rot? no pictures show the frame which throws up a red flag

I'm bout 20 min away from this truck and just happen to have tomorrow off work. Sounds like a good recipe to go and get a look at it first thing in the morning.

Rob,
If you do, I'm sure many folks here would love to know the condition of the frame, bulkhead, door bottoms, etc. and see a few more pictures. (If they'll let you snap a few.)

you have to be a member for them to let you in the lot and even then I think they only give you one day to come in and look at the cars coming up for auction.

Am I reading their terms of use right, this auction only allows you to participate in the live auction that takes place an hour after the online one ends? Also, you have to have a dealers license to bid or hire one of their brokers?!?

boss/dad went to copart last month for a 95 rrc and came home with a 66 t-bird. they're a reliable auto auction company.

My only experience with them has been as a salvage auction for insurance companies. This one looks like a private individual is selling it through CoPart.

You guys need another Series truck like I need more RRCs. Is your lot still full of them like it was the last time I was there?

I'm wondering about the status: "on minimum bid" based on a google of that it looks like the seller set a reserve price that must be met or the seller can choose to keep it. So I kinda doubt it's going to be any kind of a steal.

What is a minimum bid?
A minimum bid ensures that if the highest bid falls below your minimum price, CopartDirect will act as your agent to work with the buyer to get the highest sale price for your car. We will also call you right after the sale ends for final approval on the highest price. If you choose to put a minimum bid on your vehicle, we will compare it to similar vehicles we've sold to make sure your minimum price is comparable.

Do you guarantee that my car will sell?
We do not guarantee your car will sell. However, we guarantee that your car will receive actual bids from our base of global buyers. If you have a minimum bid on your car and that price is met or exceeded, your car will be sold. If you have a minimum bid on your car and the highest bid falls below it, it will be your decision to accept the bid or not. If you have no minimum bid your car will sell to the highest bidder regardless of the amount.

This is a standard practice...unless they state there is 'no reserve' at an auto auction you should just assume there is a reserve and the seller has the right to 'no sale' the car. If you get close to the reserve, it isn't unusual (at least if you're there in person) or inappropriate for the seller to make a counter offer.

this is exactly how we ended up with the t-bird and even eventually the rrc. the guy was expectinglike $6k for the t-bird, but we ended up getting it for $2200 after going back and forth with the guy. the owner of the rangey wanted like $2k and even after going as high as $1200 the first time he put it up for auction and not being satisfied with it. we ended up getting it for $900 the second time around. dumb guy.
