87 RRC Trans mounts replacing

Any suggestions before I undergo his task. Looking at it I think removing frame bolts will prob be thre best route.

leave the brackets on...loosen the trans and tfer case mounts/rubber and jack the drivetrain up far enough to remove and replace.

Could the engine enough to make the fan hit the radiator? While youre already bleeding cussing and have eyes full of dirt might as well go ahead and do the engine mounts.

engine mounts are the same, but the DS mound is inder the exhaust in a bad spot, the DS manifold has to come off.

I managed to do it without taking the manifold off? I jacked the engine up and I had the transfer case out....

It may be different for a 92, on mine you could not reach the upper nut with it in place.

on the rubber mount I did have to use a "stubby" 1Xmm wrench and it was a major bitch.

did them on my 91 did not touch the exhaust. probably used my ratcheting box wrenches, but can't remember.
