EDIT - SOLD LOCALLY ON CRAIGSLIST.

EDIT 7/6/12 - Price Reduced - $5,800
EDIT 7/19/12 - REDUCED - $4,500 - See post below.

I am selling my 1995 RRC TWR with less than 83k original miles. It recently had the engine rebuilt and runs well. . I just bought this a couple months ago and have quickly realized that it is redundant to my '04 Disco. I also feel like it is too unique/nice to modify/play with and I hate to put the work into completely restoring it to not drive it. I am asking $6,200.00 and am taking a loss on it at the asking price. I have put a bunch of pictures at http://s1076.photobucket.com/albums/w446/smithjoshu/ if you want to see something else specifically, please let me know. I have driven it about 200 miles in the time I have had it and it is being kept in the garage. Truck is located in Chester, VA about 20 minutes south of Richmond.

More info on the TWR about ¾ way down this page: http://www.rangerovers.net/modelspecs/1995.html

Good
Very recently rebuilt motor - very tight and clean – haven’t seen any leaks. Previous owner had passed away and I bought it from his son - I don't know why it was rebuilt. Looks to have had a new water pump and alternator at the same time.
Interior is clean - leather in good shape except drivers seat cushion which has some cracking, but no tears.
Upper tailgate in great shape.
All electrics work with exception of cruise control (hoses split), light at a/c controls, and possibly heated seats (lights come on, but it has been warm since I got it, but I don’t think they are working)
Headliner is in good shape.
No warning lights on the dash
Air suspension removed and springs installed.
Brakes work great with no pulling or shuddering.
No leaks from transmission, t-case, differentials, etc.
Just passed Virginia inspection in April.
New Michelins
Air conditioning blows cold.
Surco ½ rack installed.

Not so good:
The hood had an ornament mounted on it, so there are two holes in the hood. The hood needs to be repaired/repainted. No rust, just the holes and some oxidation. I put black rivets in the holes when I received the truck.
Swivels are weeping
Dent in roof at back right corner - body shop quoted me an hour and a half to repair. Small dent in back of right rear fender (both in pictures)
Dent in left rear fender. The dent looks minor (shown in pictures), but the body shop said it might be easier to replace that fender.
Some rust at license plate lights and at either side of tailgate (in photos). Some very light surface rust at the vertical portion of the rear door jambs. Some rust in the passenger side footwell – I scraped off anything loose to take the picture in the attached link.
Some scuffs on bumpers as shown in pictures.
Solenoid won't allow t-case to shift into low – didn’t get around to removing the solenoid.

Autocheck on it from when I bought it.

Your Vehicle Checks Out! AutoCheck examined the reported odometer readings reported to AutoCheck for this 1995 Land Rover County Classic (SALHV1240SA659776) and no indication of an odometer rollback or tampering was found. AutoCheck uses business rules to determine if reported odometer readings are significantly less than previously reported values. Not all reported odometer readings are used. Title and auction events also report odometer tampering or breakage.

I am lowering the price to $4,500 FIRM!

I feel that this is a very good price - doesn't even pay for the engine re-build and the new tires.

Reasons for the reduction - When the motor was rebuilt, they routed the kickdown cable against the exhaust manifold - I hadn't noticed until it froze up the other day. I have disconnected it so it will drive fine - you would just have to downshift manually if needed at speed. The cable will need to be replaced. I also noticed that on the highway, if you let off the throttle, the truck will pull slightly to the right - wheel bearing, ball joint, or suspension bushing? Lastly, it looks like I landed a new project (work) about 96 miles from home so I need to look into a commuter car soon.
