What? Those are Super Duper Camel Cuts....

Still a damn nice truck,

Agreed, nice engine setup.

I figure it was the CT cut, gone xtreme, just looks a bit odd. I am guessing it was done that way to have it meet the bumper, but you really do not need to take off that much for 235/85s, the CT can just trim was to trim as little off the fender not to snag it with the tire, when I did this it wasn't an inch. I eventually went up to the trim, but the bumper I upgraded to had a slider along the fender cut.

honestly can't believe no offers, a 300tdi automatic discovery with lift, arb, ac, what can I be missing less money than a defender and civilized, mid 20s mpg.

Me personally... I would be interested in a 300tdi automatic in a stock Discovery. No lift or extra off road related goodies. And around $10-12k.

Damn I wish this was 5 speed... Great truck none the less, good luck with the sale!
Gonna build a black 5 speed this winter. Stock height no mods. Need to finish a pair of 130s first.

Its not a trophy cut... I did not like it either and was originally harsh about it, just stick a good slider bumper on it and cut it up to the trim piece. The fact that it is auto and has all the pieces is pretty cool. Auto is a plus. I've never understood why people like manual in a large vehicle, but its a preference. I certainly do not understand why you would want manual on many of the rocky stuff out west.

Aaron, you need to drive the CT Disco out to Utah in May
10 years ago i would have driven that or a defender for sure, I'm just getting soft in my old age I guess. Went and drove the 013 RR and have to say I might want to test it's 34 inch wading depths :)

450 miles on 21 gallons at the last fill. shooting for 500 on this one. knowing that i cant race around everyone like i could in my other rover gives me a no stress feeling too. when "that guy" cuts me off i just dont give a shit anymore and i dont find myself in the left hand lane constantly thinking "get the fuck out of my way"

Dude, you're a doctor. You know there are pills for that :)
Yeah. Patient once defined middle age to me. "Its when the most important thing in life is comfort. Not how cool it looks. Not how much it costs. If it makes you comfortable.

What does the garden variety 96 D1 sell for these days in similar condition? $2000? $2500?

Does the 300TDI really add approx $13,000 in value?

I'm just curious. I don't sell or buy cars except for the ones I want and I never got the diesel thang...

GLWS BTW

edit: Not trying to be snarky, if you can get $15,500 for this truck, then I say by all means get it!

its the fact it has the automatic that helps justify the expense. they were rare with an auto over in the UK, this isn't a 4.0 auto its the proper automatic , then shit the ac compressor alone was just a tad under 600, custom lines 200, so it starts to $1000 you pretty fast, then yes if your time was free, you could probably get into it for around 10k built this way, so my firm price on it is 13k. for that I would gladly pick you up at the airport and send you headed west on I-40.
