No need to over examine all the potential possibilities. You have been given the correct answers already... your origianl post said just about everything you need to know. Your rigs runs OK with no a/c... when you add just an extra bit of heat, which is what the a/c does, the engine temp rises dangerously.

This is a radiator problem. If you feel like trying to get it cleaned or rodded... I wish you the best of luck. I just spent a year trying to keep my old rad around by doing just that and ended up wasting time but with semi-acceptable results until the truly hot wx hit. It is a very old piece of equipment. You can go round and round trying to save a penny or a minute. honestly, just pull the trigger so you'll have new shit keeping your engine running safely.

REPLACE the radiator with a new one and the fan clutch too. Then you'll be free to drive the CA 120 with A/C.

Not like it didn't take me long enough to convince you! And then you bought your rad from somebody else-sheesh!

Right! But I saved $0.42 ;)

That was just one of those crazy ass deals I had to take. Ready to do my HG and Throw out bearing (and front / rear main seals, timing chain, oil gears...)

soon, as in, about a month.

all the video in post 7 proves is that the top of the rad flows coolant, sediment settles so i would imagine it would start clogging from the bottom. if you never replaced fan clutch then nows a good time while your having the rad flushed.

my rad is restricted from the previous owners stop leak bandaids for a bad head gasket that lead to coolant in the oil and premature bearing wear, so in hot weather my truck runs warm and my oil pressure runs low but at least my AC blows cold

This may sound silly, but if you don't know the history of your truck, make sure that the ac condenser fans are spinning in the right direction. They could be aftermarket and hooked up wrong. Just throwing that out there.
