The scrapper that takes my shells likes to get a title but that's on newer vehicles. I doubt that titles existed on vehicles in 1961.

BTW, wouldn't that make that vehicle one of the first IIa's or did the II stay in production until 1962? I always wanted a Series as old as I was but never found a worthwhile 1960 Series II.

The '67 NADA 109 SW we had was sold with only a bill of sale in ME.

I was then able to get a title for "Blueboy" in Oklahoma where we were living at the time.

No questions, no inspections, nada.

Later took that title and titled / registered the Rover as an antique in PA.

As it was a title transfer, again no problems.

Still have the antique plate which is in my name and eventually will be used on the RRC.

if we want to get rid of a rig with no title we have to have our tow truck guy haul it off and put a lien on it. we let him keep the scrap money for his hassle of the tow and the paper work

For transferring a vehicle in CT and MA, prior to 1981 and you don't need a title. In VT it's 15 years. In RI and NH, 10 years.

If I want to get rid of a vehicle in NYS without a title, I can do it if it's 8 years or older and worth less than $1250. There's a simple form that requires ID from the person scrapping the vehicle.

that top alone looks straight enough that it could easily be worth $800-$1000. rear 109 doors are also worth a bit even if you have to replace the lower channel.
