A new possible use for the ABS stuff

I'm thinking about modiying my ABS pump and soleniods to operate as a remote braking system on my D1 for when and if I tow it. I'm wondering if I couldn't open all the soleniods at once electrically and run the pump to build up pressure. Does anyone have any thoughs /comments on this?

Perhaps with a Rangie, but not with a Disco. The Disco ABS doesn't work in such a fashion that would do what you want. At least as I understand it.

What I was thinking was to completely disconnect the regular wiring when doing this and work up a new control system, maybe even tie it to a trailer brake control. This way I;m only using the solenoids , pump and hydraulics and not endangering the LR electronics. I really need to stand and stair at the brake tubing and see if it is arranged properly to get pumped hydraulic press to all the wheels at the same time.
