I've had them come on twice. Once under warranty. They would go off with a chime and stay on 'til I restarted the truck. Next start, they would be off again, then chime and lights. The curious part was that while on, no code was thrown. Eventually, after several visits to LR the SLAB's computer was replaced. No more lights. Repaired under warranty. Big bux.

The second time the trinity appeared, it was a bad LH hub/sensor. My coin. $800.

Ouch, I hate those lights!

Here are my experiences, repalced two hubs before you could buy just the sensor. Repalced one sensor only. Then had the lights reapprear due to vibrations caused by non OEM brake pads.

Over a year since I went back to the OEM pads and no lights. Like was aid before they never go away they just take a siesta!

I cured it....bought a D1.....hehehehe! :D

Or, you could keep your DII, connect the CDL, install front and rear ARB lockers and upgrade the axles, and remove the ABS modulator and the warning lights altogether... :D

Had it fixed - it was none of the above (D2, MY '99)!

Hi all! Had the prob with the unholy trio for 2 years. the fault read as "LH ABC sensor- intermittent signal(broken wire)". The certified LR services recommended hub replacement - since to me hub seemed OK, I tried to check it by borrowing a slightly used one and running it for a couple of days -no good. Replaced the sensor - the trio was still in place. So I decided to shove it.
Then, 3 monthes ago fell in with some guys who listened to my woes really attentively.
They had two goes at it, and had it fixed on the second try :D Cost almost nothing, too ;)
Now, all they told me was that they had to fix the wiring in 2 places, didn't say were. But I presume they acsessed it from the cabin, since when they sent me out for a test drive a plastic panel was on the floor on the passenger side.
The trio is gone, all works like a dream and all I payed was about 70 bucks.
Guys, find someone who IS GOOD WITH THE ELECTRICS!!!!!!!!

This is the road I am headed down. But who makes front axles for a DII? Did you do a full swap? I haven't heard of one performed on a DII ??

The ABS system is comprised of many parts. The most common reason they go out, I believe, is a fouled sensor (and by proxy the right front hub). The question is, why is the sensor getting fouled? If my memory serves me correctly it's the bearing seal, and the grease is oozing out. The fouled sensor is typically just a symptom of a more serious problem. A problem that you'd probably prefer to know about before you take your rig out on the trail in the middle of nowhere.

If you disable your SLABS and the related dummy lights, you will find out about the failed wheel bearings when its too late to do anything about them. If you can afford to baby your ABS system there are benefits to keeping it all hooked up.

Well, in my experience - the wabco ABS modulator is to blame for most of these (brake related) problems. The lights did, however - come on one time when an ABS wheel sensor went & that time they stayed on. But... when the 'three amigo's' came on the last time, they came on infrequently & didn't throw any codes. I just gave up on trying to 'troubleshoot' the problem anymore and bought an ABS modulator. Since then, no problems. I hear that they now sell a kit to overcome the 'shuttle valve stuck' error I was getting. This guy from Wabco told me that I could get the kit through LR & gave me the part # (which I lost) but I'm sure you can email wabco for it; and no - they wouldn't sell me their brake parts because of contracts with LR. LoL sounds like LR wants the $1700 for their $200 parts
