Adjusting the engine/tranny/T-case sitting on the frame

I am trying to order the front and rear prop shaft for my D2, they are at the measurements of front-610mm and rear-855mm long. But my vendor said the front should be 625mm and 840mm, as my truck’s power plant is sitting far too forward. The mount are on slots so basically some adjustment on it.
So here is the question, what is the easiest way but without an engine crane, I can push the engine with the tranny and t-case back an additional 15mm toward the back end of the truck?

thanks
Ed

I think what your vendor isn’t taking into consideration is the different heights all these trucks are at. As you lift the truck that measurement changes.
Tom Woods website gives you instructions for how they want it measured and then they make you a custom shaft.
I have some spacers that came off a truck that was lifted to stupid heights. Those sit between the t case output flange and the shaft.

I wish I can get from Tom Woods but I am in the UK now, so the vendor is probably only providing a standard size shafts.

There are 2 different lengths. The problem is not your setup but who your dealing with. 4hp22 transmission is shorter than a 4hp24 from 2003-2004. Driveshafts should and better have enough slip in the yolk to accomodate this difference. You can not nor should you need to move the drivetrain in the car, thats just dumb. Get a shaft from someone that knows what they are dealing with.

Yeah, the problem is that my measurements out of his spec even that he has 2 different size, that is really kind of strange. I did take a look underneath, my whole power plant did shift a bit so really don’t know how should I go with this.

if your engine and trans mounts are good then it is all in place. if you dont have any seriously F'd up front radius rod bushings then its in the proper place. if he is a real driveline builder he should be able to make it to whatever measurement you have. note a lift will change the spec. Like i said sounds like you need to find another shop to deal with. Just fyi when i walk across the street for a custom job my guy just ask what the length is. when you call Tom Woods all they ask is the length measurement of the 2 faces tcase to diff. There are variables that change specs but it really does not matter if you have the distance measurement between the 2 faces.

Yeah, I just found Bailey Morris, another brand in the UK that make prop shaft. I give up with the previous up. Kind of odd with 15mm differences and his shaft cannot make up for that.

If I could I really like to go with Tom Woods like everyone did over here, but the shipping and the VAT when entering UK is just killing me.

If his shaft can’t make up for 15mm I think that’s odd. How much do you suppose that measurement changes when the suspension gets compressed. Or extended. I’m thinking it’s more than 15mm. 15 cm could be a problem
Good that you went with a different vendor.

Seems to be going pretty well with BaileyMorris confirm the flanges size and the length, they don’t seems to have a big fuss about it. I just order a rear 4 bolt flange to repair replace the rubber coupling, once in will have the rear measurement as well then can place the order.

@Ed Cheung .. check out Gwynn Lewis’ propshafts and their other Land Rover fabricated parts :
Actually the first vendor I went to is Gwynlewis, lol. They seems to ask a lot questions about the length of my front and rear shaft and saying my front is being shorten by 15mm and the rear is being lengthen by the same 15mm due to the tranny had been shift. So I was think whether I shift move it back a bit… so this is how this thread started.
