About to breathe life back into the 94 RRC...

A question to the group is, what are our choices for radiators?

I am more than willing to spend for OEM however, I am curious to know what you guys have had experiences with. A re-core is about as expensive as brand new these days so I am not going to bother with that.

suggestions and ideas please...

I had one radiator recored this year, to the tune of $480 or so. It now has four rows filling the entire depth of the radiator - still cheaper than OEM, but likely vastly outperforming one.

I recored both the disco and the 110. As stated....it was a bit cheaper, but far better cooling than the stock one. The guy who did the work recored my 110 heater core for free.

Well Rick... I guess I'll have to find someone on that underground network to bring it to your "guy". My "guys" reflowed the connections at the side tank (upper left) three times without success. Needless to say they lost my biz.

I have three DI / RRC radiators in my garage with the oil ports on both tanks, all with leaks which I would love to scrap for the cash or just get recored. For whatever reason I am not feeling positive about the aluminum / plastic stuff... Yes I know almost every modern vehicle has that design.

Anyone in Central Florida have a radiator shop they have a good experience with... aside from Prater Radiator?

OR do I just say who gives a shit and buy a $500 ish Original?

Tried the made in china one from autoparts warehouse, the fit was perfect but the brass connections for the transmission cooler and oil cooler was crap. Ended up sending it back and sourced a good used one off of car-parts.com. Good luck because after market radiators sure looks like a crap shoot....

WTF Cosmo? I order one in for you and offer to hold it until you can pay for it and you're shopping for one to save $50?

Asking for opinions and experiences. The fact is I am buying the one from you because I know you will stand behind the product, which is why I would take the chance and buy something other than original.
