AIR conditioner intermittenly shuts offthen back on?

Factory fan switches in 95's often cut out on speed 4, but not other speeds. We had ours replaced under warranty years ago, and it's never happened since.

:banghead: :smilelol:

If you hadn't had it fixed when you had, you would have learned that you can lose all fan functions from the switch failing.

What no one has said is that the A/C will not work unless the fans are turning. If the fans shut off due to failure of the fan switch, the A/C will shut off.

Would this apply to a '98 as well? My condensor motors are shot and the relay to the compressor cycles periodically. Sometimes quite frequently.

TIA

Most of my friends and I too, experienced the same problem with fan speed 4.
There was no problem in the other speeds.
If we just touch the fan slide button, the fan, and the AC compressor come back to work.
We found nothing about current, or thermal protections in this switch in the RAVE workshop, electrical, or the user manuals.
Te difficult is to reach the switch in order to repair or change it.
