So got a new fun issue today. When I lock the door the alarm starts to go off. I have made sure all the doors are closed. Not sure what the issue is or how to fix it. I have tried searching the forum but no luck.

Is there some way to bypass it so I can lock my doors?

any help would be appreciated!

I had that happen before. I had a seatbelt stuck in a rear door. Was not shutting all the way. Make sure all your doors are shut properly. just an idea

Edit.... just read you checked the doors!!!!!!

Sunroof???? Anytime i have had alarm issues it has been when the keys have been in someone else's hands.

Get it in it start it and go.

Have you had any water get inside, maybe near the dash? I had the same problem and it started to happen after some heavy rains, and i have a leak. After a day or two of drying out it went back to working normally. Also during the same episode my blinker relay would click constantly.

D1? take your door panel off and make sure you didnt break one of the plastic rings on the back of the key barrel. very common problem.

There is alot of info on the alarm system, try searching for "superlock" in this forum or in google.

It's a '95, it does not have the Superlocking function.

It is almost certainly due to water ingress to the alarm unit. Fortunately, the early Discos only interrupt the starter and can be fairly easily bypassed, but be careful or you can also bypass the neutral start safety.

i just bypassed one last week! splice OB to OB (bo to bo?) and viola! you can then unplug everything else, but you'll lose central locking. My customers car would randomly go off when she'd open the door, although I think its because her breathlizer wasn't installed properly and I wasnt even going to try and sort that mess out.

My leak is around the windshield. Water ended up dripping down and out the bottom of the dash.
