at that speed differential, there's a good chance you wouldn't see him in your mirrors when you looked.

It?s frightening when you are doing 150 kph in the slow lane and have to pass a convoy of tanks doing about 60 kph in the same lane.

You have to make a judgement as to how may you can pass in the time it takes that tiny little black spot in the rear vision mirror turns into the Beemer about a metre from your back bumper.

A speed differential of over 200 kph (120 mph) on the road is scary.

I've driven the 'bahn. If you're not going fast, stay right! About the time you see somethign behind you, you hear it, then you see it woosh past you as you watch it disappear in the distance.

I drove from Frankfort to Munchen in '84 or '85. That was a different world for me then!

Some place where you could legally speed? :p

Beemer Hell, I was more impressed by the Benzos that were skimming the road just whooshing along. At one point, we were passed by some sort of a Ferrari with the most God awful scoop on it. Later found it was probably some super hot rod red car (a Rolf maybe?). I saw it in the rear view, yelled at my nephew to wake up and by the time he popped his head out of the back seat, it was GONE!
