The only extreme things I plan on doing will be at very low speeds! Well I wish I had read a bit more and sprung for a set of tubeless steelies, but I like the way these look.
I drove the Rubicon on this tire/wheel combination. I have to say that the wheels got quite a beating - but that was totally expected.
Wolfs seem to hold up much better.
And kudos to BF Goodrich for bringing back 7.50-16 size in MT/KM3. I don't know if I like KM3 all that much, after a decade of disappointment with KM2s, but it is a fantastic alternative to XZLs.

Sounds like I will have to find a full set of 5.5 x 16 inch tubeless steel rims for the 110.
Early 110's look wrong with alloy wheels or the various aftermarket alternatives.
Always liked the way 7.50 x 16 tires worked and looked.
Anyone have a set they want to part with?

Genuine wolf wheels or the equivalent proline (aftermarket) versions? I assume any LR cast alloy wheel would have has similar issues.

6.5" Wolfs w/235/85-16 Cooper SST Pro's on the RRC. Too tall for the engine and gearing. 0-60 in 10. minutes.
Looks good though.

That sums it up for the Classic. Especially one that hits the scales close to 5500 lbs.
Mine's waiting patiently for the 1.4 LT230 sitting on the shelf.

Rovers North is selling NTO 5.5" tubeless wheels and 7.5" Michelin street tires at a great price.

Jymmie, what springs/setup you running?

Whatever EE recommends for a 2" lift. I actually found the rear springs at a junkyard which had a date code of like 2005 on them IIRC, I put isolators on top of the rear springs. It sits a little high when unladen, but when loaded for a trip it's perfect.

You are perceptive, Bluboy. Yes, a rebuilt 3.9, hi comp pistons, rings gapped, performance cam, big valves, port/polish, new injectors, balanced. They took out 128 grams.
Better suited for a TVR, TR-8 or MG.

I'm one who ran (not by choice; came with the D1 when I bought it) tubeless tires on tubed wheels (NATOs). In 13 years, I had only one incident of the tire bead sliding off the seat, and that was offroad, aired down low (16 lbs or under), going downhill on rocks, and with the wheels turned sharply making a hard turn. I would categorize that situation as atypical, and suspect driver error was the biggest contributor. I bent the crap out of the wheel, but sledge hammered it back into usable shape at home.

I also bought KM3s last year (to go onto new tubeless steelies :) ), but in 255/85-16, and they have bands/ribs/ridges on the inside (not tube friendly).

As others have said, it'll be fine to run without a tube so long as you're not doing extreme things which could force the tire off the seat.

Are those KM3s going on a 5.5 inch width? I'd love some pictures if you have any.
