Hi Everyone,

I've posted here a few times about my transmission problems and thanks for everyone's great responses. I'm looking to find a good remanufactured 4HP22 for my '97 disco 1. So far the cheapest has been pheonix hard parts at around $1100 with $300 shipping. I'm in washington DC and would like to find someone closer where I could pick up the unit.

Also would like to know if anyone has used Pheonix before with good results? I have gotten one recommendation from a previous post - so just want to know before I drop that chunk of money down.

Thanks a lot,
Samer

I did contact Eriksson - they do sell them for a bit more than pheonix...but not sure who to go with in terms of quality...if pheonix has a good reputation or not...Eriksson seem to be certified with ZF as I got their info from the ZF website...they are located in CT.

Anyone have good experiences with Pheonix?
Thanks for the posts

I used to work for a ZF wholesaler in NY. They bought from us directly and they are in fact one of the best rebuilders around the northeast. Even Saab dealers were getting their transmissions from them for warrenty work. Eriksson was better than factory Saab units.

I ended up going with Erickson and they were great. Trans works fine so far and the installation was done by a local shop that also seems to have done a great job. Thanks for all the help.
