Anybody interested 1998 Disco LE salvage total?

The insurance guy I was dealing with decided to take a small vacation from Thursday to Monday and the nice lady I got instead quoted me a different higher price to buy the vehicle back from them. So I argued the total price on a few options she failed to quote back to me for them to raise the totaled price. I got $29 less than what I originally paid for the vehicle so I'm happy.

Im not buying the vehicle back. Sorry for any inconvenience this may occur. It was going to be more trouble than it would have been worth. Basically I would just have been recooping the money l lost buying the brake rotors/pads and decals in the entire deal when I can just list those items separately.

My Disco just got totaled sunday night by some kid (long story).

I have a chance to buy it back after the insurance company totals it out if I choose to keep it and part it out for parts or sell it to somebody who can trailer it away.

Back doors still open. The tail gate could open if I pryed it more. None of the glass is broke. I bet you could still drive it if you bang the metal back in.

Im done with it. I want a motorcycle now for summer weather.

Truck is located in Joliet/Plainfield, IL

As of right now im waiting for the total check from the insurance company then I am going to buy it back from them. I don't forsee this process lasting longer than the 10 day statute of limitation for the state. Im at day 2 right now.

NOTE TO WHOMEVER GETS THIS TRUCK: I'd be interested in some parts for spares. Maybe we could split the cost some way and each take some parts?

a buy back from the insurance company can be huge....if you plan to keep the vehicle.

looks like it got smacked pretty good in the rear corner.. DID IT BEND THE AXLE?, frame? break a trailing arm?

Was it parked when hit? What were the conditions?

Does it still run and drive?

All questions on establishing a value on a wrecked vehicle.
