It's made out of C-Teak, a GE Polymer HDPE product thats uv resistant and pretty damn tough. My kids destroyed the factory one in my truck after a month of getting it. The new one has been in for about nine months and they climb all over it.

Denny: that looks good. A little upolstery and it'll look stock.

Didn't CSL have an aftermarket console in his rrc?

The box end of mine is shot, wouldn't mind finding a way of shoring it up or replacing it.

That is the only nice-looking replacement console I have ever seen.
That hard plastic box shown before, while meeting the goal of being childproof, is really ugly.
If I were to make one, I'd make it either out of fiberglass or thin sheet aluminum, aircraft-style, with rounded edges and, hopefully, not so prominent fasteners. And cover it with vinyl matching the color of the interior.

Denny, I like that. Very clean and simple. Where did you get the material? I'm striking out with Google and that C-teak name.

I saw the one Chris had. It didn't do anything for me, but that's just me.

It did remind me of a padded toilet seat-LOL

saw Ho using this on the EE bbs and reminded me of this thread.

Try Ge Polymershapes, Austell, Ga, 770.948.6910 . This is where I buy my materials from and they probably have a wharehouse somewhere near you and or they will ship it anywhere. If you find it and dont want to pay for a full sheet I can sell you some from what I have in stock and send it to you. It's great stuff for all kinds of applications and after looking around your truck you'll start wanting to put it everywhere.
