Has anyone replaced a hood release cable on a d1,the second have just gave out and all I have left is the nub , and I hate nubs.

Just pull the cable from the grill. You can reach it right above the land rover badge. I haven't had a cable in the truck in about 10yr. They all break anyway.

Its replacing it that I think would be the bugger, removing no big deal.

Easy to replace, and surprisingly cheap from the dealer.

This is the way to do it if you ask me. I replaced one two times then gave up on it.
