Oooh, walking 100km over flat ground with no pack. Wow. I'm stunned. Did you even do it in your crocs? In a blizzard with no coat, uphill both ways?

Never said it was flat. That would be an assumption made by someone who has no clue about what kind of endurance it takes to accomplish something like that. The ruck requirements varied. The lightest was 40lb. and that was on a 125 mile jaunt. Try again there Skippy. The Dodentoch, that translates to "the death march".
So you rode a bike 200km. You got hemorrhoids and your hair is falling out. I guess you want a medal? I'll send you one. PM me your address.

Except none of my accomplishments are fairy tales or other sprite trickery. LOL.

Its just the broad sweeping comments always get to me. If you don't like something for yourself, that's fine. Calling everyone who does a fag is ignorant. I wear crocs and I'm not gay. If I'm not wearing crocs, its flip-flops. Its always boat/beach attire around here and I think some short balding guy is a bit jealous.

What??? 5-11 isn't short. I'm considered tall in certain company.
Like Croc wearing kindergarteners.

Those damn kids always have to stop, find their shoe and put it back on.
Not like a pair of 8" Redwing 953s. There's a boot. I've been in them since 1985. 10 pairs and counting.

That's my off-road clothing. 953's, Smartwools, (formerly wigwam elpine) A mesh jock (or speedo) and a tilley hat.

And Ray Ban aviators.

Well, I mostly just try to counter some of the technical misinformation. But p76 has decided I'm The Antichrist  and makes a point of telling folks I'm wrong about everything, so I dunno, maybe it's a waste of time.

Maybe its because I drive a manual, but I never drive in anything else than full (preferably leather) shoes/boots; or maybe bare feet if its really hot.

The thought of my sweaty feet slip sliding around in a plastic shoe when driving fills me with both fear and distaste

Do they sell Blundstones (Blunnies) is the US?

A perfect boot for all purposes

I'm sorry Captain Croc, but it sure is shades of SY in here. If you did the Dodentocht, why are you spelling it wrong not once but twice? And why do all the photos show people in sneakers and tight pants walking on pavement. That's fucking flat, smooth, and nobody has a backpack.

http://www.dodentocht.be/2007/

You want not flat, this is not flat. Austrian Alps.

Hair falling out... the settings on your magical Hollywood photo expander must be fucked up if you think you can see that kinda detail from a tiny photo. And short? I guess you have no fucking clue how tall an enduro motorcycle is do you. You couldn't even sit on the seat without your flip flops falling off.

Exactly. Footwear to suit the requirement. I tried driving the truck in -40 Sorels and that didn't go too well. I got "unintended acceleration". :)

Maybe Captain Croc here likes to wear his when he puts his hands in the mud at the Manicure shop.
