I doubt I have your email address still, so send it to me and I'll let you what the details are. garrett(at)teamrover.com

I'm really just going for the tacos. I do love me some Mexico. I think the next trip might be to Copper Canyon and some interior places I've been tracking via Motorcycle Mexico. Some outstanding riding down there. Trying to get Ricky Johnson (moto/trophy truck guy) to come down and join us.

If you go to copper canyon and have the interest, check this town out.

Quite a few years ago, I brought some of the pottery back. I think duty was low for art. I think now some are worth some money, used to be they were cheaper in MX and you could resell for good price. Not sure about now.

I would really like to go down there again, but have Alaska this summer. Maybe next winter, I have never made it to copper canyon, but would love to.

He has a company that I've worked with and is business partners with Jeff Benrud - another Baja racer (Honda 450) that I've worked with. Good guys. Jeff did well at Baja this past year, but RJs truck broke 200 miles in.

RJ has suggested a nav app (LeadNav) and hiring some guys he uses to follow us down through Baja. We shall see.

Doubt that is the case. He and his wife quit their jobs about a year ago and put together one of those gay vans you see on Expo. They left VA sometime after Thanksgiving and have no plans to be anywhere at any given time. Fucking hippies.

Those aren't as bad as the EarthRoamers and similar platforms in terms of capability and being a bit more low profile. Less likely to attract attention and the EarthRoamers aren't really all the capable when it comes down to it. The granite counter tops and other bloated items make them far too heavy based on the vehicle footprint. Just get a Volvo 240 wagon, some camping gear and surf boards.

If you end up in San Felipe don't eat the salsa at Mariscos La Morena. There's a story there, but I don't want to get into it.

The Baja 250 is going on in San Felipe at the end of the month when I'm there, so I'll make sure I stay away from that place if we stop for the night. But honestly hope we spend more time in San Ignacio and Bahia de Los Angeles though.

That video was pretty good.

Are you gonna race it? I,ll be on your team

Hell no. I'd last about 10 miles and stroke out. I'd need fresh tacos every few hours. I had planned on going down with a friend and following along the route this past event, but a wedding I was in coincided. Assuming no more weddings, I at least am headed down, but will be borrowing some toys from Rick to ride/drive down from his place in SoCal. I wanted to ship my bike out and ride it at least one down there. They get picked up tomorrow assuming the snow doesn't mess things up.
