Hey Jack, I've got your number boy. Keep saying shit like this. I'll be making a call to you.

You have a phone?
You have electricity?!

I figured you were dictating this to another 5th grader in your class at the library.

Seriously, if you're going to show up and post nothing more than crude and simplistic name-calling, don't expect a very involved response.

I'm sure you're hoping I'll get into some lengthy web battle with you just like all the other people who are so happy to engage me, but your own posts are my retort.

sorry to disappoint.

The moron goal was to surpass the 1,213 posts of the Hellooooo thread on LRO. It is ironic that Jack helped achieve this. :patriot:

Shit, I'm sure someone will prove me wrong shortly, but I'd say as soon as I posted to make my stand about flood of bullshit on dweb, the fluff began to drop from the content.

Mine was post #1071

This thread started out so well and now it just fucking sucks.

It's bloated and filled with fluff.
It's like 4% substance.

I swear you morons are ruining all the good threads on dweb these days with mindless post count padding.

You know why we've never had a 1000 post thread before?
Because in the old days, every single post was relevant or interesting and advanced the plot of the thread. There aren't a 1000 meaningful things to say about anything on this board, so back then two or three hundred posts on a thread was a shitload.

Now every thread here goes to 15 pages+.

You guys mock LRO for all the annoying pointless smilies and long sigs, but the content of your posts is equally worthless. It all makes for the same lame ass scroll button workout.

Since then we've had 6 pages and nearly 150 worthwile posts.
Almost 150 posts that meant something whether I agreed with it or not.

To me, it's like instant success.

Since you're so good with statistics, I'm curious how many times you posted shit, fuck, and ass. Are you just as proud of your potty mouth?

I saw Kyle argue with someone over a network administration issue. Kyle called the other person a moron and IP blocked them. Kyle was incorrect on the issue. He was a bully. Is this the Dweb you want to return to?

:seeya:

But even morons could get around a ban and login a couple of minutes later.

If I remember that correctly, the person had emailed Kyle off of the thread with a threat of spamming/sending viruses to everyone on Dweb....

And, the person would come back under an IP of the group, then Kyle would ban the entire range of IP's.... from there, it gets fuzzy... while I remember the first couple of successful followups, I seem to recall that they did end shortly after that... I don't who it was, and if they were really gone eventually or if they are one of the many ones whom banning wasn't permanent.... I mean, this is just a BBS on the internet, right? Give someone several months to cool off, and is there really a reason to keep them banned forever? Eventually they'll grow board w/ attempts and go away, and if they bother to come back in the future, maybe they'll behave... it's happened several times over before...

Jack - I will be honest with you. That thread was far from good or entertaining and was probably more responsible for my original post to you than any other single post. It was pretty much just you beating up on an LR3 owner. I guess you could call it "calling him out", but even that is a stretch. I have not read it all the way through, but it looks like he held his own for at least a little while.

If your mission in that thread was to improve Dweb, you did just the opposite.

Oh man...

I look forward to reading Jack's postings. They are not only informative, they are entertaining.

I miss reading Kyle, John, and others. You can't tell me that you didn't want to read what they posted. Some people just asked to be called on their crap (Agro, Comeondieyoung, the "RR3 can run for 30 seconds underwater guy", etc.)

wow.. good reading on a snowy southern morning. even the pyschos came out of the woodwork threatening real world harm. are u kidding me? jack is right.. matt taylor is right.. eric is right.. this dweb is a weak shadow of what it once was. and while jacks tactics may appear "harsh", you can tell they are derived from a passionate stance on the current state of dweb. personally, i know the old dweb and as ive been off the board for years, i dont know the new dweb all that well, and in a way im glad i dont. other than the DII CV stuff and the guy who stuffed fzj80 axles under his DII there is nothing progessive on here. maybe the limits of what you can do with these trucks has been met? or maybe nobody really does anything with them any longer? i think the fact that this came up in the general section is a shame, because it is the general, "fluff" section, but this arguement pertains to the entire board. and no offense here, but when one of the prominent posters sell his disco for an element and still comes here, it shows precisely what the direction of this board has become, and that is a social network. not that there is anything wrong with elements, or the guy who got one, but when that is the prevailing train of thought, that indicates that the board has gone awry. im glad to see folks like les, eric, jack, sus, dan, g-man etc are still here and i think deep down we would all like to see a more focused and controlled board. and there is nothing wrong with fluff, and all the bull shit that goes on in the general section, but its when the bullshit becomes the board, its an issue.
