Interested in hearing some of your favorite beers...

I love beer. I love all types.

I love local brews, I try Micro's wherever I go.

I can get down with MGD, Coors Heavy, etc...

I really do fear no beer (and I have the gut to prove it.)

So, I have the chance to have whatever beer I want at my wedding....

Im getting 4 choices. So, for everybody else Im ordering the obligatory Miller Light, Coors Light, Yuengling, and something else.

What Im trying to figure out is what the "something else" is going to be. It can be WHATEVER I want....

Im just not sure what I want it to be. Im thinking maybe something local: Duck Rabbit, Highland, Lonestar, Red Oak, Carolina Brewing Company

But, I've fallen in love with other brews from around the country.

I'd like something heavy but, something that more than just I will drink. Im thinking a porter or a stout, and at the least a brown ale or red. Maybe a strong IPA?

Discuss amongst yourselves.

Natural Light for all day consumption otherwise the more hops the better. Have been sampling some marzens lately these are pretty interesting beers. Samual Smith oatmeal stout is a favorite Asheville Brewing Shiva. Is another all time favortie but hard to get. Can't fuck with schlitz coors or busch heavy or yuengling.

Beer: The alcoholics kindergarten.

Don't know if you ever went to it but there is a resturaunt called Kick Back Jacks in your area that had a beer called Kick Back Jack's Brew. Hands down best beer I ever had. I was told it was made by Carolina Brewing Company. It's a red ale. Emailed them and they didn't know what the hell I was talking about. Try it as I think there is one local to you. If you have any pull with whoever in the hell in Carolina makes that beer its awesome. I've had no luck finding out who actually makes it.

my sisters wedding was last weekend. had to choose from a list but ended up with Bud light, coors light, yuengling, and stella.

liquor was on point with woodford, makers, level, 1880, tanq, and glinlivet.

with those options i was drinking woodford.

i love beer, and i love micro brews and different beers. But if there was one beer I could only drink it would be coors light. i slap my neck in the morning though.

also, congratulations on your marriage! Tell the future mrs best wishes and I hope your wedding goes off with the least amount of stress on you both as possible!

edit: since it is a banquet setting, coors o is never a bad choice.

Can't believe your having two light beers. But at least there is Yuengling on the menu that's always my fall back beer.

Something dark might be good. I kind of liked the coffee stout I had at Natty Greens the other night although I don't think it would be that popular.

As for local brews, I like Lone Rider they have a number of good beers.

On a non-local beer note I just picked up the new Guinness beer Guinness Black Lager. The jury is still out but so far I think I like it.

Go local! Talk to one of your breweries and see if they can bottle a brew with special labels for the wedding. It is worth a shot and it helps spread the economic love to people who you might see regularly.

I'm a huge fan of Lagunitas Lil Sumpin Sumpin for a twist on the IPA. Old Rasputin for a good imperial stout. And Central Waters for my local brew. Either their Muddy Puppy Porter or Shine On.

drop the traditional beers and go with October Fest, Blue moon, Shock Top, ect. I did kegs of Star Hill at my reception and people brought their own classic light beers. I guess they were scared of the real stuff.

We might need to venture out grab a few beers this weekend to see if we can't come to a gentlemens agreement.
