Can someone tell me who in the states has the best price on stock front rotors and a decent set of pads. I was considering aftermarket rotors but after reading alot here I think stock is probably just fine. For 2000MY DII. Thanks.

I'll try to remember to look in my service book and see how long ago I put mine on. I think maybe about 50k miles ago, but I can't remember for sure. I don't see any difference in stopping ability before and after installing them though.

I realized I'm not a good person to base any brake longevity experience on. I use my brakes much less than the average driver.

, the hottie that works at the local NAPA, all are reasons for me to use NAPA.

You must post pics, as fellow disco owners we must make sure
that all merits of your rotor purchasing decisions are correct.....we'll
take your word on everything else but the "hottie" must be verified :D

tidewaterrovers.com also is very reasonable for rotors and pads. Give john a call. he'll hook you up. otherwise AB has em for 50 in the rear and 70 in the front. the lockheed pads are the same price as napa's and autozones and I think far superior in wear.

. . .or you could just widdle them out of wood and see what happens. Where the hell did I put my coffee. . .:banghead:

I can't imagine there would be any major wear differances.
The bigest quality issue you would run into is how concentric
they are turned, flatness and parallelism of the actual braking surface.

How the Hell am I supposed to go ito NAPA and say hey, the guys on Discoweb want proof you're as hot as I say you are?

They had some others working there, but they turned out to be bitches and they didn't alst long. A bunch of horny greasy guys do not want nasty cute women around in the parts store.

PERFECT I think that will work fine ;)

Just make sure there is no tie rod breaker, or 14" adjustable within arms reach of her:eek:
