They may have something decent, but their pitch made it nearly unbearable to consider buying their $460 rope. Maybe you get what you pay for, I dunno. When people sell something based on everyone else sucks, it leads me to believe there's no positive reason to buy their stuff.
With the hook, fairlead and the rope- they wanted about $700-$750 to respool my winch. They may have a special secret deal with NASA to use their rope for something (they never said what), but I think I'll keep shopping.
You mush have mis-understood the guy. At MAR, he had better deals than he has on their web site. On their site they have 3/8"x125' Trail line with Professional Splicing, Heavy Duty Tube Thimble in the Eye, 28,000lb. Heavy Duty Connecting Link, with Replaceable Pin, 24,000lb Competition Hook or Self Locking Safety Hook, 3ft. Brush Guard, and Line Lock for $305.00. At MAR he was installing it and giving you a fairlead for free.
And the "Special Secret deal with NASA"? Were you refering to the alunimun recovery point thay are working on? I think his sales pitch said something like NASA uses this same Aluminum for air lifting something.....
I think the Dynaflex is the stuff to have right now. I'm sure in about 6 months there stuff will be out dated, but it is nice stuff, no matter how much you dislike the sales guy.
