Michaels,
I'll PM you about the trip at the end of the month. I would be interested in pretty much any trail ride/camping trip that comes up in the future.
I've ridden in a few places in AL--around Mentone, Bankhead, Talladega, around Coker, Grayrock, down near the beach in the Gulf Shores area, and some ill-advised spots around Huntsville. I haven't found anything around AL that matches the fun but not-too-destructive trails and scenic camping spots in TN, NC, and GA. Would enjoy finding new areas in AL that are good for more than just an afternoon ride.
I have a couple areas I never get tired of visiting. I have done a bunch of camping and light trail riding near Helen, GA and always had a blast. If you get bored the town is fun in a quirky way. Same goes for Asheville, NC. My one trip to Caney Fork was worth the drive but I haven't had a chance to go back. Tellico is another place I wouldn't mind going back to visit. I have jammed in a mix of camping, riding and either trout fishing or kayaking fishing in several areas, but most wouldn't be that much fun without the water-related activities.
Where all do you and the other guys from AL ride/camp?
Mike
