So does anyone really go camp out in front of Best Buy/Wal-Mart/Circuit City for the "Doorbuster" savings on Black Friday? I have never done the camp out to be first in line, but then again, I never really cared all that much about getting something. I have been looking to see if anything worth it, so far the only thing may be a cheap laptop or LCD flat TV.

Maybe I should camp out for the release of PlayStation3 next Friday. On E-bay these things are going for $1200.00. Easy money.... Ha!

Hey man, I've got 3 kids and a wife to buy for... if I have to do that so I can save a ton of money... a man does what a man has to do so he can see a smile on the face of his kids on Christmas morning... and, of course, make the wife smile and give him some "the kids are busy playing with their new toys, let's hit the sheets...";)

My mother and sisters in-law ALL shop ALL DAY LONG on Black Friday. It's their mini tradition. Ever since I joined the family, they've been begging me to go. I actually get picked on for not keeping the shopping spirit alive, and I've resorted to camping at the hunting cabin with all the men in the family to avoid the crowds and angry shoppers.

This year, I've conceded to visit a few specific stores to get 1-2 gifts and will then be taking my 11-year old niece to see the Royal Lippizaner Horses perform in Charlottesville. Ahhh, I always manage to get out of the 'girly' stuff.

If you go, good luck!!

My wife, mother-in-law and her sisters all participate. I stay with the kiddo's. She comes home around noon and I either go hunting or play golf. It's a "family tradition."

"The thought of being in a Wal-Mart on Black Friday scares the hell out of me."

Ditto on that..

My wife and my aunt/cousins/random family go out each year. I rarely leave the confines of the house.. too much traffic for me, too many people, etc...

WTF is black friday?

Have I been out of the country that long?

It's the Friday after thanksgiving. The biggest shopping day in America. It's called black friday as that's the day stores get back "into the black" after stocking up with inventory for the holidays.

By the way the PS3 is being sold already here. Ill start taking orders now!

Sweet! I plan to go Walmart on Thursday around midnight to get mine. That's how I got my XBOX on opening day. No hassles, no issues, in and out, pretty cool.

I was thinking about the PS3 and then sell it on E-bay for some quick $$. Still debating if it's worth the hassle.

Best Buy has a pretty decent deals on a couple laptops for Black Friday, thinking about waiting in line this year. Usually I am in Richmond with the fam and it's become tradition to hit up Green Top to check out all the guns and then to Moto-Europa for the bikes.

Actually I call it Whale-Mart cuz there's usually a "whale" in every aisle wearing a moo-moo with her blocking half the aisle and her shopping cart blocking the other half. Especially around the food areas.

we have a big outlet mall here that has contracted us to set up a 48 hour feeding starting midnight thanksgiving- they are expecting around 65,000 crazy shoppers- I am glad I will be safe with in my concession trailer away from the madness!
