My dad just picked up a 2002 Discovery 2 and needs an engine for it. Can someone point me in the direction to find one that wont break the bank. We are located 2 hours east of Houston TX.

Yes. I guarantee everything. These are not complete rebuilds at this price though. I can price those as well but that's where the price goes up 4x. I recommend with any used motor to at least replace the valley gasket/pan/valve cover and front cover gaskets as preventative. It's so much easier out of the vehicle.
At the posted price I would be sending a motor that was from a running vehicle with no knocks....head gasket leaks etc. can install as is but no guarantees on minor leaks etc. Guarantee is for Mechanical Breakdown.
