Thanks Agro for explain the technical terms for the pipe bending.
This thread is going all over the place. I think the whole crocs of this is the Stainless issue, in my experience LR exhaust rot out quicker than most. Use Stainless and you?ve got a laster. However most producers of Stainless for LR?s IE Borla, NRP etc will have that low pitched rumble, like it or not. Unless you get a Falcon system that comes with a rear resonator. Is the issue now Noise or VFM.
And yes I agree Rovers are slow. And 4 branch y pipe and stainless pipes, K&N?s will not give speed advantages. But it will allow the engine to run more efficiently. Like you said this is seen in race/rally car. I don?t think they go to the lengths of fitting all this stiff on racer for a loud noise.
Like I said my system sounds like a Mustang and I?m sick of it now. However it was interesting to see the look on peoples faces in town when I whip it of the lights sharpish. It?s that look of wow that must ?ave been fast, I heard it but I can see it. What was it? Here did it go?
