Noticed the other day my front parking lights are out but the blinkers still work on both and the hazard lights work also. I checked fuses and all are good. If it was the switch, wouldn't it not work for both front and rear? Also, the little side marker lights forward of the front doors also works and functions with blinkers. I checked the bulbs but that is good because the blinkers work! Any thaughts on this? :patriot:

If you're talking about a discovery, the front amber turn signals have nothing to do with the parking lights. You say the turn signals and hazards work, which would be the amber lights, but the parking lights don't work.

The "parking" lights on a disco (at least the old style headlights, pre 03 maybe?) have a smaller bulb inside of the housing, also referred to as a city light.

Perhaps you're talking about a newer discovery with the new style headlamps. I'm not familiar with those.

Oops, I guess that would be important. '97 discovery
When you turn the lights on to the first position before the head lights, the amber lights do not come on any more and there is no other lamp in the housing. I know they workrd before.

varova, thanks for the visual. I did not even know that one was in there. I would have swore up and down those amber lights had been on. I don't understand why they would not come on also if the tail lights and rear bumper lights are coming on. Thanks again for the help.
