Why is it necessary to do so? Isn't transparency a good thing?
Yes it is.

But some people do it to protect their privacy.

I know first hand of someone that got threatened, porn sent to his house, hate mail, you name it... etc.

All of this, just because some douchebag from a 3rd world country wanted the same domain name.

As a corporation... it will look shady
As a person... totally normal.

OTOH, I put my name, address, and pictures of my home on-line. Complete strangers call me on the phone and give me their credit card number. I doubt that would happen as easily without the transparency.

Of course, everybody also knows I'm a wacko.

I get more death threats from pissed off Rover owners who don't like it when I tell htem they're an idiot on-line, or worse, try to buy something from them via Craigslist.

I ain't skeered!

That sounds really familiar.

that's actually my truck. just got the bumper finished up and on the truck tonight. let's just say i feel much better now that it is entirely welded instead of just in a few areas. good thing cause the winch is going in it next weekend :D

Did you take any pictures of it before you repaired the bumper. I'm curious to how the damage looked.

I am curious. After reading the multiple threads on LRRF and the thread on here, was the cheap price the only thing considered when purchasing these products? They are as ugly as sin and beginning to show very poor craftsmanship. Why take the risk?

To be honest price was a consideration, but I didn't think the RRC products were bad looking at all. The poor craftsmanship issue started showing up after everyone had ordered. We really didn't see those issues creeping up till much later
