Does anybody have experience with Ferodo or TRW brake master cylinders? Are they any decent? Not sure if this is one of those Geniune-all-the-way parts or if there is something superior available from a third-party vendor.
i was able to do this a year or two ago. i did not bleed the MC/brakes and all is still good.Don't mean to hijack but my MC has been leaking at the seals where the reservoir connects to the MC. Is this something where I can just pop off the reservoir and replace the seals or do I need to bleed the MC/brakes after replacing the seals?
I remember having a red box so I'm thinking I had the TRW BMC. I've had it installed on my D2 since 2016.
It has worked great even with the extended brake lines and used Pentosin Super Dot 4 brake fluid.

Audi uses the same seals. If you search you might be able to find the part #'s.I couldn't find the rear seal for the DI MC reservoir, I could only find the front one.
I don't need them anymore since I got a new MC but when i was looking I checked with the local Audi dealer and they only had the front as well. Since they were included in the new one someone must be making them but I couldn't find a replacement.Audi uses the same seals. If you search you might be able to find the part #'s.
