Does anyone have access to a link which shows how to replace the brake rotors and pads on a 95 Disco?

I am planning to get some DBA Rotors and genuine pads from EE. The only instruction that I have come across is the on on EE for a D2.

Also, does anyone have any feedback on this combination (DBA Rotors and Genuine pads)?

The other thing that I should mention is that I am not a hard-core mechanic. I can change oil, spark plugs, etc. and do other small tasks on my vehicle. Is changing rotors and pads that I can probably do?

Thanks a bunch.

The differences in the processes for the pads on the DII and DI are negligible. You should have no problem using the DII instructions for your application. You will be able to work through any variations you come across.

I am planning the upgrade to the DBA rotors in the future, so I have no opinion on that combination as of yet. But I will say that you made a good choice going with the genuine pads.

The first link is just pads. The link below it is from Spanish Trail Rovers website, and goes a little farther to the bearings. If you are going as far as Rotors, bearings are cheap, at NAPA, and dont add that much time. Not difficult, good step by step info avail. I used a bronze drift pin, and a hammer to get the bearings out, be patient and hit around in a circle like 1 O'clock, 2 O'clock etc. You can do it. Packem with graese b4 you put the new ones in, there is a howto link for that at STRovers site

Here are some more useful links I used in doing my brake & hub overhaul:

Front wheel bearing service

I also recommend replacing bearings. It's one of those jobs that falls under the category "While you have the whole thing taken apart, you might as well do it." The bearings are not difficult, they just require some patience. Next time I do it I will leave the new bearings in the freezer for a while before installing them. Getting the new races seated and started straight takes a few tries. Go for it.
