Anyone out there have a recommendation for a "help" type MC cap? I am wanting to build a bleeder (as from the bmw site) and am interested to find if anyone has done this with a D II, and what part # cap was used.
Thanks :patriot:

Edit: just gonna source a DII cap.

Are you talking about just bleeding the brakes? I used the hose from Harbor Freight, was like $1.28, came with a little useless bottle. The fit of the hose was good. I believe they do sell one man bleeder sets as well.

I have plenty of the crappy little bottles and tubes. I need to build a one person bleeder. I am just using a D II top with out all the connectors.

I've never noticed a DII MC cap, but the one on the D1 is the same dimensions as the clutch AND brake reservoirs on Series III Rovers, as well as the "soup can" reservoir on earlier, IIa Rovers (but you have to use two rubber gaskets....) Made a right fine pressure bleeder out of a 1 qt. garden sprayer with a broken tip. An old plastic cap, a bit of hose and a $1.96 brass hose barb completed the unit so I can bleed master and brake fluids in both Rovers.

Quick Question to add onto this:

I'd like to get one of these for bleeding brakes on my 73 109. Will the euro adapter fit the series Master Cylinder?

Also is there an adapter to use with other cars? It would be cool to swap out the connector part so I an use it on my chebby.

You can just open all of the bleeders and let the brakes gravity bleed. It is a little messy, but works every time, including when replacing the master cylinder.

just ordered the euro motive for my other cars, has anyone rigged a rover cap? Cant be that hard..

I have. Used some old CIS fuel fittings through the D2 cap then found an O-ring that fits to get a snug fit.

none of your fucking business
I built a water bleeder bong using 2 milk jugs, some electrical tape, and some hose when I had to bleed the clutch on my saab.

Anybody with the skills can figure it out pretty easy.

I also tried a gravity bleeder just for fun but, it didn't work as well.

Just FYI, I wouldn't recommend trying this...I probably took a few years off of my life inhaling brake fluid fumes.
