This thing is out of my truck.... no special reason for sale other than an experimental motor project in the works.... here's the stats:

99 GEMS 4.6 Short block used as the base - had 90K on it 1 year ago; from a really nice P38 i put down SPECIFICALLY for the motor to go into my classic.... anyway -

Crower 230 Cam, crower lifters, double roller gears and chain (adjustable crank gear)

3 angle valve job, headgasket service etc etc.

This thing hauls balls, does not smoke, tic, knock, rattle, hesitate or leak AT ALL. This is a great motor.

Obviously, its set up right now for a multi-v classic and is an easy drop into an 87-94 RRC/Defender. Slight parts swap required to go into a serp. classic/d1. Slight parts swap for making it a GEMS again, the usual nonsense to make it a BOSCH.

I am happy to lend conversion advice pending year application and obviously, if this is going to go into an 03 D2, you dont need the cam, gears, sump, etc.... Im willing to work on the price based on stuff you want/need/dont etc.

Long block Multi-V version $2300

A hundred here a hundred there comes off the price pending needs, etc....

Oh no! I keep telling people to buy your DVD, esp for the HG part. I tell them to buy it instead of loaning my copy out. Are the DVD's NLA?

GLWTS!! :patriot:

no not NLA..... not forever anyway.... the reproduction house that made them originally went belly up... and to have them done in LA anywhere else is nuts as they want to make a minimum of 10,000 copies.... i dont have that many closets to store them!!!

that said, i may produce them through amazon... they seem to have a good thing going... looking into that.... and in the meantime, im going to post a link off the website where you can see the doc part anyway - FOR FREE!

Yeah, it's time for a sequel. There are some mighty nice trails up here in Warshington and there's a room and some excellent food/beer for you in Seattle.
