where on the rear links? wouldn't you be worried about creating a pivot point?

I was kind of joking. But, I guess if they were mounted so that they rested near the axle mount, it may work.

you could use a frame side mount and have the unit contact the flat top of a beefy rear arm like a rovertym control arm.

the good part would be reduced travel at the unit would net more travel at the wheel.

the bad would be possible tire contact when one side is stuffed.

you would just really need to test fit it and see if there is room.

Well I just installed the 1.5" Jounces on the rear of my DII. I didn't take pics because I did the install exactly like Musky did only on my DII his being a DI. So you can go back to the beginning of this thread and see his pics. Mine are the same except for the mounting plates. I am going wheelin' this weekend up in Caney and will report back as to how they perform. FWIW I had them send them to me at 60psi based on information I got from their R&D folks based on the heavy assed DII and how I wheel it. They are infinitely adjustable (rebound and compression) so we'll see...

Cheers,

Mike

Went wheelin' this weekend and ops checked the jounce shocks. They performed great. The tapping can be annoying but I'm sure that I will get used to them over time. It is very hard to describe what they do, but suffice it to say they help tremendously with hard drops in the back. This is especially important when loaded down with recovery gear etc.. The truck felt much more stable and still flexed well. One of the most noticeable times they had great effect was coming out of a deep hole and cresting the top with the rear axle. Instead of bouncing over the top they absorbed the impact. With the rebound adjustment set to slowly rebound and the compression maxed I got the effect that I was looking for. Also when going in a deep ravine they helped keep the ass end from digging in once you start up and out. For me it is a great mod and I'm glad I did it. Thanks to Musky for the early information on them, the settings, and installation tips.

Cheers,

Mike

great looking install.

yes the contact is noisy at times, but those same times used to be hard bottoms with the tires slamming the body so I much prefer the click :D

I had my truck packed this last weekend and driving some big hard rutted trails the control factor is just way better then it ever was before. they just soak up that extra energy that tosses the truck around when you are heavy and driving a a good clip.

great to see they worked for you mike!!
