I appreciate that, Marty. I'm still looking for a set of 16" wheels if you come across any!

I hope that you also got my payment for the window. No need to refund the whole amount; I received the window, so I was happy to pay for it.

I just want to say this guy had a point. He didn't have all his money back till after he opened this. I don't know how many calls I missed but I wasn't ducking him. UPS is going to pay me for the rims (which some crack head cousin of a UPS drivers is probably trying to install on a Caprice as we speak) I'm sorry this deal got screwy.

I had two sets of Mirage 16"s that I took to the scrap yard. I got tired of looking at them and I didnt think anybody would want them.

Nexen rodians are on my D3 V8, they were there when I got it. It's time to replace them now. I don't think I'll get them again because I'm the 255/60R18 size they aren't the correct load rating for the 3. And I plan on towing pretty close to the limit (not as close as you get with you d2 though).

those POS tires left me stranded in colorado, when not one, but two let go on an old P38... both had sidewall failures and had basically the drive from tx to co on them as they were on them when I bought it... i had to drive about 2 hours on one flat to get to cell coverage. Not one car passed us. we were on pavement the entire trip and never hit anything. both rears.

Pep boys even said they wont carry those tires because they are so bad. they are chinese IIRC... super cheap.

there is no reason to not run a michelin or other good tire on one of these vehicles. these trucks are not cheap, so why should you be?

rant off.

Sorry, Kyle, I don't agree.

They are not particularly cheap tyres, they exhibit all the requirements that we need, good life, good grip, we've not had any issues yet other than a nail in the tread yesterday.

At this end of the market, tyres are not 'cheap' and have to meet your own DOT standards as well as the UK and European requirements.

I have another new set in the stores ready to go on when these are worn out. I bought them last year, expecting the same wear rate as the Pirellis, but they have done much better.

Nexen is actually a Korean company, not Chinese, with HQ in the USA. They opened a Chinese factory in 2007, but have been in the business since the early 1940's.

I can only speak as I find, and so far we have been very pleased with the tyres.

I ran Nexen Roadian AT's on my D2. In the year before I sold the truck, I had nary an issue with the tires.

My only concern was the 200lbs less load capacity each. Probable not a huge deal, but if I'm buying new tires anyway might as well get the correct rating. They aren't XL load rated which is specified for the 3.

Bought several items from marty. Had one issue resolved quickly with no muss or fuss. I will continue to use him for parts.

106T = 950kg each tyre, X 4 = 3800kg or 3.8 tonnes. Vehicle is about 2.2 tonnes unladen.
109T = 1030kg each tyre, X 4 = 4120kg or 4.12 tonnes. " " " " " "

Maximum gross vehicle weight is 2825kg with air suspension, so you have 975kg or just under a tonne additional over and above the vehicle weight with the Nexen tyres, against 1295kg or 1.295 tonnes with the Pirelli or whatever.

The Nexen Roadian A/T is made in Korea, the China factory was set up to supply China only.

A ton in hand is enough for me, I wouldn't be worried about the difference, both are well over what is required.
