is there enough trail riding to consider getting myself there by Thursday night or Fri morning (coming from FL, havent decided if I will drive it straight or camp on the way up) or midday Friday, all day Sat., and depart Sunday sufficient time? No night riding, correct?

There are plenty of trails and night time rides are permitted and common.

Looks like i'll be flying out to the event.

Is it usually pretty warm?

Does that mean GBR will have a presence at the event?

The weather has been pretty volatile lately, snow one week and 70 the next. But April is typically pretty warm, most of the time it's T-Shirts and shorts but we do get the occasional cold snap when it's in the 40's.

There are about 17 miles of trails at Uwharrie and as already mentioned there is plenty of night riding.

Depending on the level of your truck and the weather the trails can either be easy or hard. If it's dry out, a stock truck can run a fair number of the trails. If it starts to rain and the red clay gets slick you'll be in for a good time. ;)

none of your fucking business
In october, the easy trails turned into moderate due to all the rain. I completed all of the guided trail ride with stock (saggy ass) suspension, a Rovertym bumper, and street tires. I found that the lower bumper trucks (suspension lift or not) had a harder time making it through some spots than I did with my slimline and stock suspension.

This year Ill be there with a little bit more...

I had a great time!

Awesome news on night runs, thanks guys. Since I read about getting trail passes for each day I thought it might be restricted to daylight hours, glad its not... perhaps I'll just head straight there on Thursday and plan to arrive around midnight.

Yes Sir, GBR will be out for the event. I don't know how much of a presence I'll make considering i'm only 5'1", I guess I could bring a stool with me.

But I'm looking forward to the event, it will be my first time in North Carolina. I guess I'll just have to watch the weather as April 16th gets closer and than bring a variety of options.

It's good to see more vendors coming out to Safari. I'm sure we can find a stool for you to stand on. No need for you to bring one, you can save the carry on space for stuff to give a way. :D
