I would think some closed cell foam, like a blue ThermaRest would work. Same type of stuff the pool noodles are made out of.Jake1996D1 said:Anybody ever find some waterproof/non water absorbing replacement insulation?

You'll start disrespecting it and not thinking it's a nice vehicle anymore. Then you'll stop caring about banging the body panels. Next thing you know your once pride and joy is a total piece of crap and has no chance of every maintaining its dignity.
Given up on going to the mall? YESjymmiejamz said:That is fact.

Remove carpet and pad since padding was soaked from leaky sunroofs...bad enough I had to POR-15 the floorboard.
Remove foam from hard rubber "top" of padding.
Purchase rubber anti-fatigue tiles from home depot (the kind you see in commercial kitchens, assembly stations, etc - black rubber with holes in it)
Cut out and assemble tiles to match hard rubber.
Install tiles, hard rubber and carpet.
Just as quiet/insulated as before, less stinky and able to air dry by itself.
Not saying it's an original idea, I read it somewhere.
