Can I swap transmissions from a 94 to a 98 discovery

How much if any of the drivetrain is compatible? I have a 94 discovery 3.9 and now a 98 discovery with a 4.0 . Want to use the 94 as parts for my 98 is this possible or are they designed totally different? Transmission, axe parts etc... any info would be greatly appreciated.

Input shaft is shorter on the 94 (from what I remember)...

3.9 not drilled out for the crank sensor that you'll need to make the 98 run.
