.....this guy thinks you need to put the trans in N to lock the CDL and thinks a stock unit cant be locked at speed, does that lend to him knowing what the best way to do this is?...
Obviously you didn't read my response...I never had the shift assembly nor read this section of the owner's manual because I didn't have to... and as a result, I thought that the t-case shifter had to go through the Neutral position to engage Diff Lock... and no where did i say that the AMV shifter I installed is the best method....and if you read my signature...you'll see I live on a small island (St. Croix) and will never have the opportunity to off road like you "state siders."

If i lived in the states and could seriously off road like you all, I would prob have gone with the 04 cable shifter.

I like it! Do they make a kit that will fit my '04?
If you really like this AMV set-up, im positive it will fit... You could sell your 04 set-up to help offset the cost or keep it for when the AMV set-up stops working like others say it might.

And if you DO get it, it's probably best not to let others on here know about it. =)

Cool Mods list. Where can I get a kickass ladder to nowhere? What were you saying about cheap novice mods?
IMHO....My ladder to no where is the best ladder that is made for the Discovery. I can get up on my invisible roof rack and play.

Seriously though, it's nice. The roof rack is coming later... the ladder was a present from my girl friend...

And i was being sarcastic about my mods... =) So for those of you who appreciate the pics....thank you.

I'd love to have a better way to lock my CDL, but for the money (it cost me nothing), my ghetto lever works perfect.

Ladders are handy for racking surfboards canoes, or kayaks, etc. even if you don't have a huge, drag inducing mileage busting roof rack you never put anything in on the roof.

I understand your comment though. It's easy to see how all the fury about how this guy completely ruined his truck went to your head, leading you to need to make a snide comment of your own.

There is no such thing as getting used to the kind of comments I have read by members of this forum... no matter how stupid or inexperience a member or his mod is. There are so many different ways to express "opinions" and "jokes"

To me, Land Rover owners have set themselves apart from other car groups based on Land Rover's heritage, tradition and vehicles... They are respectful, kind, and overall good people that go out of their way to help and assist...whether by pulling someone's jeep out for them... or typing instructions on how to "DIY"...

I could care less of what anyone on here thinks of my mods... my mods are made to suit me, my off roading style, and my personal taste....not anyone else's...my time spent on this forum is to genuinely help others...NOTHING less.

I installed an AMV in my '01 nearly 7 years ago. It has been through countless water crossings, and covered thousands of offroad miles, mostly desert sand & rock. It still works perfectly. You'll love it. The local LR dealer bought 2 (after seeing mine) for folks wanting to add difflock, and they had no shortage of other options. They liked the discreet factory look, as I did. Also, no possibility of additional cabin noise as can happen with other solutions.

I had one of these on my Disco II for a while. I much prefer the shifter as this was terribly slow in the winter in MN. It took forever to unlock while driving.

Good thing i live in 80 degree weather all year long...

Sit back and relax. It shows that you just recently joined. Get used to this.
Quit posting in the Technical sections. You never have anything useful to say. Just go to the general threads. You're such a fucktard.

And quit trying to "sound cool" to members who are new to the forums. This isn't a fraternity, not like you could join one. You are honestly one of the biggest fuckin losers who posts on this forum.
