I know there's a few chemists on here. My only question is will lacquer thinner harm lexan

Acetone is usually a key component of thinner, so according to the chart, the answer is no. As a general rule, more things attack Polycarbonate than those that don't.

...used to be a chemistry major before I got sidetracked by calculus....

"Lacquer thinner" is usually a mix of solvents like toluene, xylene and MEK; acetone not so much,,,, All of the above will attack polycarbonate. But PT can tell you more, maybe even a few horror stories about cleaning up spills of these rather noxious chemicals.

You'd be surprised at what you CAN clean lexan and plexiglas with that don't touch it.

Then again, many things will craze them.

Cole-Parmer has some good compatibility charts.

It wasn't to clean it was to remove some improperly applied lacquer based paint.

Just about every solvent I've ever used that came into contact with PC has crazed it. At most I'd use rubbing alcohol (isopropanol).
